From the XFree86.0.log, you aren't loading the proper drivers. You need to specify Load "glx" (which you are, but nVidia's glx can't be found, hang on for that one), and Driver "nvidia", not Driver "nv".

You need to have the correct NVIDIA_GLX version installed to be able to do this (you need the version that matches your NVIDIA_kernel version; it looks like part of the problem might be that you don't have any NVIDIA_GLX installed?).

Was that everything in the log when the right version of NVIDIA_GLX was installed? Just those three lines? I wouldn't think so...
