Re: Mirror's Edge out today?
I originally got this on the PS3 because I wanted the pre-order bonus messenger bag that came with it. The graphics weren't that great as it only ran at 720p and 30 fps. As such, there were jaggies all over the place, and it was difficult to get the necessary sense of speed.
The PC version changed all that. The fact that you can pretty much run the game at 60 fps all the time is a huge help. The PhysX effects aren't much, but they do add to the immersion. I'd definitely put ME in my top 10 favorite games of all time, and maybe even the top 5. The only major annoyance is that the time-trial DLC add-on pack is not compatible with the Steam version of the game. Minor trade-off I suppose because the DLC pack requires EA's stupid DRM/downloader program running at all times, and I don't care too much to do the trials.
