about the bigfoot networks cards
If you are going to get one, get the killer 2100. The hardware firewall on the killer xeno pro is crap. It will push through all traffic except network printer traffic. I even tried making exceptions in the killer firewall and no dice. Even tried disabling the firewall on the card. And with norton 2010 IS suite and a onboard nic, all is fine too.all along win 7 could see the printer and monitor the ink levels with the killer xeno pro. I know it's a software forum, just pointing out the problems with bigfoot networks hardware firewall on the killer xeno pro. The hardware firewall problem was fixed with the killer 2100 software/firmware by renaming it to application control and giving it a new look. Thus, the killer 2100 allows all traffic now including network printing. Bigfoot networks tried to fix the problem by introducing the 6.0 software for the killer xeno pro which looks exactly like the 2100's but there is one problem. what the firmware update 6.0 does to the killer xeno pro causes hardware instability. Meaning you get stop 0x0000009c hardware failure bsod's unless you go back to the older 220.127.116.11 software/firmware which has the crappy firewall.
