Thanks for the offer. I've just had another crack at this and still have the
following results:

TwinView: I can't get individual screens to rotate but Composite works
Xinerama: I can get individual screens to rotate but Composite doesn't work

This is with a twin output nVidia Corporation G84 [GeForce 8600 GT] rev 161

So, yes please, if you have compositing working under Xinerama or individual screen rotation working under TwinView, I'd love to see your xorg.conf.
