Default Google Earth crashes on startup

on a 4-processor AMD-64 system running Fedora-13 with all upgrades installed. A crash log is attached. This started when I changed from Fedora-11 to Fedora-13, also changing from the building the driver from Nvidia's driver package to kmod-nvidia from RPM Fusion, which claims to do the same thing automatically. The driver runs everything else without problems, including glx-gears at about 7500 FPS.

The problem is well-known and has been reported on these Google Earth forums:
Google Earth crashes on startup on Ubuntu Linux 10.04 LINK
Crash after startup in Fedora 13 LINK
Google Earth has caught signal 11 on Fedora 12 x86_64, Fedora 13 x86_64 LINK

At present RPM-Fusion is a release behind, using 195.36.31, which is what I've been using. I expect an upgrade soon.
