FRPC.... I'm from the same train of thought... at $50-$60 cost of upgrade I still feel like it wasn't justly spent going from a 285 to a 470 knowing that I will only have this pc for another year or two. That is until I realized the amount of performance I am getting with this 470. I'm 100% serious that you won't be disappointed with this from a value standpoint. I got it for $300 and its performance is just as good as a 480 when I overclock it. As long as you're comfortable with overclocking you are going to get a very very well performing card at a great value.

The 470 isn't a bad value at all if you can get it on sale and overclock it. It's probably one of the best values you can get considering the price / performance.
