Just run your three GTX 480 in TrI SLI and set it to maxium performance and PHys-X will work with those cards ,I doubt you will see much gain useing three GTX 480 and a seperate card just for Phys-x.It is true that the cpu could do Phys-x just as good as a phys-x card.But nvidia is going to make sure that there phys-x shows gain over a CPU rendering Phys-x.There was a write up about it ,but I can not find it.Here it is ,but it is to technical for me to understand whats they are really saying.http://www.semiaccurate.com/2010/07/...les-physx-cpu/
