Mandrake 9.0 driver installation
Because Mandrake 9.0 binary RPMs are not available in the current driver set, you will need to use the SRPM or source tarball package to install the driver. You *CANNOT* use the Mandrake 8.2 RPMS. They won't work.
To do this, you will also need to have the kernel-source RPM provided on your Mandrake CD installed on your system. If you don't have the CDs, it's available on your nearest Mandrake mirror site. If you're not sure if you have the kernel-source package installed, you can check by running
'rpm -qa | grep kernel'
and looking at the output. If you don't see "kernel-source-version" (where 'version' matches the kernel you're running) in any of the packages, you don't have it installed.
Further steps for rebuilding the SRPM or tarball package can be found in the README.
