Yes, it's fixed, thanks.
Everything was laggy as hell with the old driver (don't know the version, the one that is currently shipped with ubuntu 10.10 beta).
However, the beta driver doesn't detect my internal notebook display anymore... I have a Sony Vaio S with a GeForce 310m running Ubuntu 10.10 Beta. As soon as the X server starts, the internal display turns off and I can't even see the internal display in the Nvidia X Server settings.
