Considering that she's running XP they may no longer stock them. I've ran into this more than a few times. And it's not consistent- meaning they'll have them still for some models, but not for others. And not just DELL but any OEM.
If she had an XP disc, legit copy... the OEM key should work, so long as it's the same version (if the key is for home don't buy a pro copy).
