They have some many old cars, for example they have a few Mercedes from the early 2000s but none of the current SL, CL, E Class cars. Same goes for modern European GT and LMP cars.
It seems like Forza 3 did a much better job. I mean who cars about all those crappy Japanese cars in 10 variants each?!
All this development time for what? Porting over 80% of the GT4 cars?
They clearly spent way too much time on premium cars only really making 200 new cars including those they already made for Prologue (although these have been improved).
There are some big holes in the lineup since there are a lot of cars missing from between 2004-2006 when they released no games and many other modern European and American ones too. Also, a heck of a lot of classic American cars missing as well as 80's/90's euro.
Not sure how the DLC for cars is going to work, but I'll just enjoy what we have for now and wait it out for GT6. It's looking like all they need to do for GT6 is make more premium cars and tracks as well as expand on the features that are already there (better damage, car modifications, dynamic time/weather on more tracks). Hopefully they can hire some more modelling staff and get it done a bit faster this time.
