Default Screen resolution can not be set higher than 1360x768 though Acer S243HL supports 192
I installed Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat and all play really well except the screen resolution.

My graphicscard GTX 260. Driver 260.19.06.

My monitor an Acer S243HL supports 1920x1080 and under Windows XP and Windows 7 it works fine with 1920x1080 (multiboot). The screen is connected via VGA. In Ubuntu I only have the opportunity to put the resolution up to 1360x768 which is fairly bad.

I've been in various ubuntu forums and none had a solution that works.

I would be really happy if you can help.
