You should be happy with that. I plan to buy a speed grade or two above the standard supported speed of the CPU/mobo (for overclock) and lowish latency for the cost. With a 2600k you don't even need to OC the memory so buying faster speed is optional even. Of course it still helps for future proofing. That Corsair 1600 cas8 is pretty much fits the bill. RAM is cheap now too, only 6 months ago all 8GB kits were over $280AUD.
