AMD didn't screw up their SATA controller. As for not having the fastest system, back when I bought this system, the i7 980x was the king @ $1000. No offense, but I was ok with not having the fastest considering that I was able to buy a motherboard, 4GB ram, a PII 965, and an HD 5870, and save $200 for a new power supply for the amount of money it would have taken me to buy that CPU. Speed comes at a price, and I'm completely fine with building a system with the money I saved.

How's that 2600k treating you?
