There are some issues with the hardware decoding. I get transparent gnome-terminals (the text is visible, but the background is transparent, should be black), remaining artifacts even after the browser is closed, vdpau tearing after i played videos via flash.
I have a 8200 integrated nvidia chip that works well with vdpau with smplayer. I had issues with all flash 10.2 versions with the 260 and 270 series drivers.

The release version uses software rendering, but messes up vdpau (and xv in some cases) vsync nonetheless.

Edit:

The cfg thing worked, i have accelerated rendering, but i still have tearing in vdpau (that is solved after reboot, sometimes suspend/resume, until flash player initializes the first time).
