If Warren Spector had been the driving force behind this game I would smack you for that comment, but since he really didn't do much on this sequel....it's true....sadly.
I will say, however, that the success of Deus Ex wasn't a fluke. Warren Spector knows how to make a damned good game. After all, he was behind System Shock and the Thief series, among others....
