2600k at 4.7 gets 9.21 on average. My 580 runs at 945 so I got a pretty smoking rig. I cant imagine needing more at 1080p. Probably overkill for 1080p I downclocked to stock on cpu and played some games without benching to see if I could tell the difference and I could not. Gpu at stock on the other hand I could tell because I have so many games "against the wall" using SGSSAA. STayed at 60 with oc and dipped below without it. 2600k is gonna have a long life I believe.
