Default BBC HD quietly begins broadcasting in 1080p

http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/23/b...t-all-sony-hd/

I researched that before May 2011 that none of TV channels worldwide were transmissioned in 1080p signal. It seem that BBC HD are now the the first TV channel to begins broadcasting in 1080p for HDTVs equipped with Freeview HD.

Pity my Sharp HDTV in my bedroom and dad's bedroom Sony HDTV only got Freeview but dad new Toshiba 40 inch HDTV got Freeview HD built-in. I got Virgin Media V HD cable box, hopefully it will have option to switch to 1080p signal through future V HD software update.
