Default Toshiba 1955-S801 and GeForce4 440 Go

Ok. I have the Toshiba 1955-S801 laptop. I originally had SuSE 8.2 Pro installed. I could not get the NVIDIA drivers to work for nothing. I have tried different options for the laptop. The closest I can get to working is by loading the module with the following options:
modprobe nvidia NVreg_SoftEDIDs=0 NVreg_Mobile=2
If I use the above options I can see the NVIDIA splash screen when I start X, but it scrolls and the NVIDIA logo is off to the left. When it gets past that part, I can see the blue color, but the screen acts as if the refresh rate is not correct and it appears to be scrolling as well.
