Well it depends on how much you are trying to save money. If 60 bucks is a big deal get the 2500. I would not get the i7 950. I only have my 2600k @ 3.8 and it is so much faster then my old 775 x3350 it's not even funny. I got the Intel 510 120GB for the reliability, they are having some issues with the Vertex drives right now but I don't know all of the details so research that first. I did get get a boot time of 11 seconds which blew me away. I think you got a damn good deal on those parts. IMO I would stick with what you have even though I am partial to ASUS boards. If you do get a 2500 dump the 60 back into a better board.
