i've been struggling with this the last few days and am at a loss. i have tried three different fermi based cards that should work, however i am unable to get the dts-hd sample to play correctly.

receiver: pioneer vsx-1020
card: asus gt520, asus gt430, zotac gt430
kernel: 2.6.38-8-generic
alsa: 1.0.24 Compiled on May 23 2011 for kernel 2.6.38-8-generic (SMP)
nvidia: 275.09.07

my issue is that my receiver will flick back and forth between seeing dts-hd and nothing. i'm hoping someone else out there with a pioneer receiver might chime in saying they have a working setup. currently i'm at a loss.
