First, decide what your budget is going to be. If you really want to max out detail and features, you could spend more than $300. In any case, you should look at the card reviews both here at nvnews and on other sites to get an idea of the performance and prices these days. Off hand, I would say if you want a good gaming card, I would look to spend around $120-$150.
