I have related problems to this bug report (i think) with a Gigabyte 560 TI card.

I am using Arch Linux with 2.6.39 kernel and propietary nvidia drivers 275.21.

I can't get to card to fail doing extress tests but any specific actions freeze Xorg and i have to reboot, for example it is very easy to freeze the card with cairo-dock using opengl and subdocks in parabolic view, it's not the only way but get really easy to freeze this way.

I have too problems with flash ghost images in a different desktop where the browser it is opened that get fixed if i disable hw acceleration in flash (to be fair i have tested this the last time in 275.19 version).

Using in powermizer the "Prefer maximum Performance" helps somewhat (make more difficult to freeze) but not fix the problem.
