Give me a break. You can build a server browser from the ground up on consoles, and it will work perfectly 100% of the time. If you try and do the same thing on PC, you're lucky if it works well on 80% of user computers. Sometimes, early builds don't even work on 80% of computers.
EA/Dice has made the right choice here. A browser-based server browser sounds like a very smart move. It means that any issues will always be server side, not client side. As luck would have it, server side issues are far easier to fix than client side ones.
