As I expected, multi-GPU scaling lags behind the Phenom II and i7. (and presumably SB)
This is a very strange launch- behind prior gen at almost all commonly used performance metrics, higher cost and lower performance than competition, cache bug.
I had a couple Phenom IIs and I just cannot understand why the decision was made to do this rather than shrink the last gen 4 and 6 core Phenom IIs to 32nm and bump the clocks. Those are pretty solid parts and there just aren't enough things that need 8 cores.
What's really amusing is the number of new users and very old accounts with very few posts popping up in CPU forums explaining why the Bulldozers are really good and we should not believe "those crazy reviews". Viral much, AMD?
