I did a similar build but went with a gigabyte UD3-Z68 board. No complaints here, works flawlessly. Doesn't have that fancy new UEFI bios thing but I heard most of those are half ass and harder to navigate than a old school bios anyway. Not to mention, I'm used to old school bios after 12 years of it. Running my 2500k at 4ghz for a while just to get it burned in and settled, then plan to crank it up towards 4.5 or so. 4ghz has 100% stability so far, with 8hrs prime95.
The UD3 is a very good board. You shouldn't have any issues there. In fact, i've built 4 PC's for friends in the last few months and used that board in 3 of those builds. Not a one has had anything go wrong.
The UEFI bios is nice as you are able to use a mouse, but it's far from a deal breaker IMO.
