Maybe it needs to have the dust blown out? lol I've seen my temps drop like 10C after cleaning, and I don't even let it get that bad.

Plus it's a Nehalem, which are HOT. When I'm running at 4GHz+ I have to run with HT off in order to keep my cores below 80C with Prime95, and that's with a cooler on par with the best, the Noctua cooler, although it does take a some time for the heat to build up that high, which can eventually raise my room temp 10F, contributing to the problem. He might have been running at 100% for hours and not known it.
