On my EVGA x58 MB, my USB mouse and keyboard work before the OS. There's an option for legacy support or something.

Thanks. I think I am going to have to try something like that. Any idea where I can find a non-self extracting soundblaster driver? and also the problem is when i put the sound card in, windows automatically installs the "driver" for it. Bad situation
