no you'll need a beefier video card for ultra. I'm glad you have bf3. I was gonna tell you it has a tool that tells you if you are cpu or gpu bound. hit ~ then type render.showperfoverlay 1 or something like that and a chart will pop up on screen showing which is struggling.
You will see a quicker performance boost from a new gpu first, but it won't be super great until you back it up with a new cpu.
