I disagree. There is another choice. Abort using NVIDIA and buy ATI instead.
I am using the GTX275 and have been waiting WAY TOO LONG for this fix, and I do not believe that NVIDIA is motivated to provide a fix, ever. There just aren't enough Linux users to justify the expense.
Clearly it has been YEARS and there is still no fix. You are living in dream land if you still think they give enough concern to us linux users. Tomorrow, I am going to buy an ATI card to solve this problem.
