Post We're Bringing the Whole Family of Tegra 4 Technologies To Mobile World Congress

The annual Mobile World Congress wireless industry get together doesn't begin until next week, but we just couldn't wait to share the news.

Just 20 months after our acquisition of wireless modem specialist Icera, we announced earlier this week Tegra 4i, our first quad-core mobile processor with integrated LTE capabilities.

In Barcelona, we'll be demo'ing Tegra 4i, as well as the i500 LTE modem we previewed at CES earlier in January.

And, of course, we're also bringing the Tegra 4 processor we announced at CES ' with its awesome gaming capabilities, and record-setting performance and battery life.

Our entire family of Tegra 4 processors supports our new NVIDIA Chimera Computational Photography Architecture.

The technology behind Chimera is complicated. It relies on some of the same computational imaging technologies used by deep space telescopes and spy satellites ' but the results are not.

Chimera allows consumers to instantly grab high-quality high-dynamic range photos and videos in a vast array of conditions with a single flash.

Another showstopper: the ability to quickly take wide-angle 'fish-eye' photos by simply moving the camera around to 'paint' whatever panorama a user desires in real-time.

And 'tap-to-track' technology lets a user touch an image of a person or an object they want to capture. This insures that the subject of the photo remains in focus as the camera ' or the person or object the camera is trying to capture ' moves, while adjusting for changing lighting conditions.

We'll also be showing off our new Tegra 4i reference phone design ' Phoenix ' and our new gaming portable based on Tegra 4, Project SHIELD.

If you're at MWC ' which runs between February 25 and 28, look for us at the NVIDIA booth in Hall 7, Stand #C110.

Or you can catch the latest on our blog, our Tegra Facebook fan page, or our Tegra Twitter feed.
