Hey all,
I'm having a problem with my Ubuntu 21.10 installation freezing when using ANY of the available nVidia drivers. The error message in kern.log is:
Code:
Mar 5 10:03:29 ubuntu kernel: [ 3728.276144] NVRM: Xid (0000:02:00): 8, Channel 00000003
Mar 5 10:03:30 ubuntu kernel: [ 3730.275336] NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
Mar 5 10:03:40 ubuntu kernel: [ 3740.271552] NVRM: Xid (0000:02:00): 8, Channel 00000001
Mar 5 10:03:42 ubuntu kernel: [ 3742.270746] NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
Mar 5 10:03:56 ubuntu kernel: [ 3756.265430] NVRM: Xid (0000:02:00): 8, Channel 00000001
Mar 5 10:03:58 ubuntu kernel: [ 3758.264623] NVRM: os_schedule: Attempted to yield the CPU while in atomic or interrupt context
I'm using dual DVI screens on a GeForce 9800 GT and even with the latest experimental driver (
310.19) this is happening.
From googling this error it seems to be fixed a long time ago. Can anyone help?
