Default my win 7 vs. win 8 observations

Basically, I had to go back to windows 7 due to the fact that I upgrade too often and need free activations to do so. In other words, windows 8, if you make major hardware changes, forces you to buy a new key for upgraders or OEM copy for system builders. OEM makes sense but for the upgraders, that's just cash cow stupid. Anyhow, I compared things, and windows 7 installs programs and runs them much faster than windows 8. I noticed this since I had windows 8 from oct 2012 and just started using win 7 home premium again. Got it from a friends dad who went to apple mac. Very refreshing going back to windows 7. Anyone know the end of life for mainstream support for windows 7? I think it's 2017 or something like that. You can use your OEM copies of windows 8 to install and then downgrade to windows 7. I had my Oem copy of win 8 installed then installed windows 7 hp upgrade no problems.
