After the somewhat lackluster Ivy Bridge E reviews I decided to simply get a Haswell system.
I had the itch to upgrade and the Z87 is the much more attractive platform than the old X79. Since I don't use SLI anymore, X79 has zero advantages for me.

CPU performance and cores are not that important either, a little 4770K will do just fine. But I'm definitely looking forward to some long overdue SATA 3 SSD RAID 0 fun, with TRIM

Funny thing is, this whole upgrade costs about what I used to pay for the CPU alone Kinda glad those times are gone...
