It must have been run on a 6mb 3dfx Voodoo Graphics card. There couldn't have been more than 4MB of textures in there. Even less with compression.
EVERYTHING was BLACK except for the skins on the monsters and the occasional floor/panel texture.
THE REST WAS PITCH BLACK!
WooHoo! Doom 3 on Pentium100/12MB voodoo2, here we come!
And we'll have 6mb of available texture memory to spare!
