Default Re: Major System Upgrade

BTW, if you really want to flex the muscle of the WEI. Install windows 8.1 and then install this:
http://win-experience-index.chris-pc.com/

Windows 8 vs. 8.1 for a wei are somewhat different. Windows 8 is much more strict on it's wei giving a gtx 680 and a gtx 760 the same score of 8.1. Windows 8.1 is a loosened quite much where a gtx 760 now scores 8.3 by itself.

for Windows 8.1 on the chris pc wei (which just takes the dos like text based scores still kept by windows although no longer graphically shown) I get the following on the haswell system in my sig:

cpu 8.3
memory 8.3
gpu 8.3
hard drive 7.7

and if your worried about start menu's, install this (it skips the metro poop and goes directly to desktop giving back the windows 7 feel that everyone enjoys):
http://www.iobit.com/iobitstartmenu8.php

to compare, this is what ivb (my brothers system gives on a windows 8 wei)

cpu 8.0
ram 8.0
gpu 8.1
hard drive 7.9
