Default need to know if there are limits to multisession UDF disks

I was wondering if there is a limit to the amount of sessions to a multisession UDF BD-RE (25gb) when using nero burning rom 12. The reason I ask is that there was a file I was looking for on the disk that was showing feb. 25 2014. The last session I wrote to the disk with that file was march 18,2014. In nero burning rom 12, It shows the proper file, when in file explorer for windows 8 and 8.1, it shows the feb. 25th file. This is the 1st time I have come across this meaning when I usually read my disks in file explorer they usually match up with the current session written. I was able to get the file from the bd-re and re-write it elsewhere (in another directory). Just as a precaution, I am reading all of the files off of the disk onto one of my ssd's and then erasing and rewriting the disk from a new session 1. All I would like to know does optical media have a limit on how many sessions (not capacity) can be written to a disk, particularly bd-re media. Thanks for any response.
