64-bit works, but no AGP
I'm running SuSE 9.0 with (SuSE) kernel 2.4.21-178-smp on a Tyan Thunder K8W with 2 Opteron 248s and a GeForce4 4600. I installed the 4499 driver, and it works (glxgears 2000+), but 2D screen refreshes are dead slow and it looks like the driver is not using AGP.
For whatever reason, this SuSE kernel insists on compiling AGP into the kernel (it's not available as a module). If I dmesg, I see:
Linux agpgart interface v0.99 (c) Jeff Hartmann
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 3302M
agpgart: Detected AMD 8151 chipset
agpgart: AGP aperture is 128M @ 0xf0000000
However, if I cat /proc/drivers/nvidia/agp/status, I get
This is with NvAGP "2" (I can't try the Nvidia AGP since AGPGART is compiled into the kernel). Any help getting the nvidia driver to recognize AGPGART would be appreciated.
