Hmm, this is a complete shot in the dark but I had something somewhat similar to this and I fixed it (well temporarily) by open up xterm su root, redhat-config-network, then click on the eth0 controller and edit and then last (3rd) tab and probe mac address, then okay then try activating and see what that nets you.
