Default MX440 on Fedora Core 1

I have a serious performance problem, this card can easily pull Quake 3 Arena off at 60fps. Yet it can't even do Tux racing at 5fps. So I thought maybe red hat launched fedora with some old drivers. I went and did everything that everyone has said to do to install these drivers. I have now done it 10 different times all on fresh installs of fedora and the same error message comes up each time:

(EE) NVIDIA(0): no HorizSync values remaining
(EE) NVIDIA(0): No modes remaing for display device CRT-0
(EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting ***
(EE) Screen(s) found, but none havea usable configuration.

If this error has to do with my monitor I don't know what to say cause its a 17" monitor that can do 1600x1200 at 60hz and 1024x768 at 85hz.

Other then that I'll post the xf86config file. This is before I make any changes.
