Do I understand you correct when you say you're trying to install the driver for your onboard NIC? Because if so, there's no need in doing that!
If your system is running on kernel 2.6.3 the onboard NIC should work out of the box! As of kernel 2.6.2 the reversed engineered driver called Forcedeth comes with the kernel.
I'm also running ML 10.0 on my ABIT NF7-sl board and my onboard NIC worked out of the box, after configuring my network I was able to browse my home-network and the internet.
