The speeds will depend highly on what loads are on the system, and what is being rendered. Between the ti4400 and ti4600 there is a significant 3D difference.. and there are several 'versions' of each card (different speed ram). The ti4800 can be AGP8X for instance. I do not know whether the cards will be fast enough for your work -- if the cpu load is rather low then most likely, if it is extremely high then perhaps not. These cards are faster than the TNT2 by an unbelievable margin.

For reference, my ti4400 in agp4x runs full screen Quake3 in 1600x1200 resolution at maximum quality over 100fps average -- this is a Pentium4 2.0Ghz i850e machine.
I will check whether I can force these resolutions soon.
