Maybe you shouldn't, it seems that AMD is slowly, and not very loudly, changing the steppings.

It could also be that some of the newer 3000+ are already Newcastle core, which seem to have hit the shelves in Germany during the last two weeks. Maybe we can verify this with checking memory access values. As I mentioned before, stepping 8 and 10 on 3200+ show different values for RAM and L2 cache access in memtest.
BTW, cyhawk, is your proc overclocked or not?
