Default nvidia 5536 driver on kernel 2.6.6, not working. please help me

i really need help. i just instaled kernel 2.6.6. then i tryed 2 install the nvidia driver, dosent work. then i updated X and tryed again, no work.
EDIT: i am using slackware 9.one
