I have the problem too with the latest nvidia driver Version 1.0-6106.
I have a PNY Quadro4 200 NVS PCI adapter installed in a Tyan Thunder i7501 Pro
Dual Xeon Board. I'm using SuSE 9.1 Professional and I want to use Twinview. The
open-source driver nv works fine but it does not support twinview.
I did everything discribed in SuSE NVIDIA Installer.
If I use kdm and start an X-application my screen gets frozen a few seconds later.
Using gnome helps increasing the time until screen gets frozen.
The XF86-log file does not show any error.
I have really no idea what's going wrong.
I tried many options like
Option "NvAGP" "0"
Option "RenderAccel" "On"
Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "DFP,TV"
Option "NoRenderExtension" "Off"
Option "Accel" "Off"
but nothing worked.
I posted the output of nvidia-bug-report.log-file to firstname.lastname@example.org
now I didn't get any response.
