Default gforce fx 5200 glxgear 650 fps @1280x1024 depth 24

I have looked online and read the README and other sources without any progress. Hence im posting here hoping someone would have the answer.
I am using the latest driver for IA32 (6111)
glxgears shows which is EXTREMELY slow .. i cannot play any games like this
{502}(00:50:14)~$ glxgears
2355 frames in 5.0 seconds = 471.000 FPS
2269 frames in 5.0 seconds = 453.800 FPS
2436 frames in 5.0 seconds = 487.200 FPS
2304 frames in 5.0 seconds = 460.800 FPS
