Default Re: DK8N, 6800GT & 4GB mem

Actually, what's there is what came out of dmesg... But I'm attaching my entire /var/log/messages file to this message. It should contain all of the messages since the original boot.

I went home over lunch and discovered why the Linux agpgart driver is loading. This is repeatable:

Cold start the computer and boot directly into Linux and amd64-agp has the following error:

Code:
Linux agpgart interface v0.100 (c) Dave Jones
agpgart: Detected AGP bridge 0
agpgart: Aperture pointing to RAM
agpgart: Aperture from AGP @ e0000000 size 4096 MB
agpgart: Aperture too small (0 MB)
agpgart: No usable aperture found.
agpgart: Consider rebooting with iommu=memaper=2 to get a good aperture.
(iommu=memaper=2 doesn't help)

If I cold boot the computer, then run Windows (letting the Windows drivers set up the card) then warm-restart the computer and boot Linux I get this message:

Code:
Linux agpgart interface v0.100 (c) Dave Jones
agpgart: Detected AGP bridge 0
agpgart: Setting up Nforce3 AGP.
agpgart: Maximum main memory to use for agp memory: 2830M
agpgart: AGP aperture is 256M @ 0xe0000000
I still get the mtrr errors when starting X, though.
