I agree, you have to let them break in before a final ruling but mine was a bit different. The back lighting got became more even throughout the screen but, one dead pixel developed within several hrs of being used. Other than thats, its fine. Prolly gonna request another replacement next week to get on the list in case there's a new revision coming out.

What revision is your cousin's monitor?
