the non-kernel module portion of the nvidia driver isn't open source...not sure what would be in a CVS Repository anyhow... (maybe the internal development of the driver handles their source code using CVS Repositories..not something anyone in the consumer level would know..)

the "nv" driver is entirely open source and can be obtained through X.Org/XFree86 source trees via CVS if you like... not quite sure why you want this though?
