Default Re: nVidia Linux Driver support for mobile video cards (Geforce* Go)...

uncleremus: Have you tried a BIOS update? The last version is A15 and the list of updates seems to be quite consistent with respect to A14. Imagine the list of updates with respect to A04! You should try it! You have nothing to lose.
One more thing. When testing the drivers, the Device section dedicated to the nvidia driver should look like this at the beginning:

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Videocard1"
        VendorName "nVidia Corporation"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 2 GTS (nVidia)"
        Driver "nvidia"
I mean bare basic definition of the section. Then you cand add options like

        BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
        Option "DPMS"
        Option "NoLogo" "on"
in order to tweak or to try solving lock ups.
Hardware: Dell Inspiron 2650, P4M @ 1.8 GHz, chipset i845, 512 MB RAM, nVidia Geforce 2 Go with 16 MB RAM, 20 GB HDD.
Software: BIOS A10 ( video BIOS), Fedora Core 4, Kernel 2.6.12-1.1398_FC4, Xorg 6.8.2, NVIDIA 7667 drivers.
